Meet 1.5 yr old Alonzo! He was found as a stray and taken to the Long Beach shelter. He spent the first year of his life during his happy puppy years locked up being passed over constantly.
Black dogs often get overlooked but he is such a good boy! The volunteers worked with him weekly. He walks amazing on leash right by your side. He is crate trained, house broken, takes treats gentle, sits for treats and takes them softly. He loves car rides and putting his head on your arm. This boy loves love and has the gentlest soul. He’s very quiet and keeps to himself during the day.
He would love a person who loves nature who can take him hiking, walks along the beach and show him how exciting life can be.
